Changed

Girls,
Just so you can be even more excited and anxious about reading The Shack, I bought it at 10pm Wednesday night last week at the beach and finished it by dinner on Thursday.  I devoured the book.  It was one of the most incredible, tangible, and real, even though fictional, books I have ever read about God.  I literally could not put it down.  I would take a few minutes of a break and then have to know what was going on with Mack, the main character.  It is difficult as you read to separate the factual, biblical truths from the encompassing, fictional story, but that is what makes it so powerful; that it is totally within God to be all that is personified in the book.  I say tangible because as I was reading, it was one of the first times I have really felt that a parental, friendly, close relationship with God could be "real" for me, as in conversations and experiences that we share. It is also a very forgiving book, allowing my soul to breathe in relief. You will definitely find parts that speak to you immediately and some that you will want to read again in a second reading of the book.  I did not read it with a pen or highlighter at first, but I encourage you to, because sometimes the first impact of what is shared is the strongest. I will not share any details, but I will tell you my relationship and realization of God is changed.
